Dear Shiloh Family,
What an incredible celebration last Sunday! The Praise Band was on target, hearts were in tune, and most importantly, the Holy Spirit was present. Of course, the baptisms were icing on the cake and ultimately, the reason for the entire meal. Consequently, if the Lord is willing, we are baptizing again this week.
Yes, many wonderful things are happening around Shiloh. What a great time for praising! In fact, last week we reflected on how it is always a good time to praise God and celebrate his goodness.
However, Satan isn’t happy when we exalt the Savior. We must keep the armor of God polished and ready for battle. It is also imperative that Christians be diligent, educated, and intentional in preparing for his tactics. Some of his most effective weapons are discouragement, depression and discord - usually in progressive order. Don’t fall into his trap. Remember, we are not fighting flesh and blood. We are in a battle with the great deceiver, liar, angel of darkness, and the powers of evil. News flash! “Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.”
Romans 8:31-39:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. NKJV
I must also take this time as your Pastor to remind you that Summer, although a wonderful time for the family, is the most vulnerable time for the church. Many folks are away (and rightly so) for vacations, and unfortunately, so are the resources.
Let me encourage you to be intentional and complete in insuring that your church responsibilities are filled while you are away. Some blessing may depend on it.
It is also the worst financial period of the year for your church. Please, continue to pay your tithes and give offerings during the summer months. If possible, pray about planting some monetary seeds with an above the norm offering during the next three months. We are not hurting for money. In fact, we are in the planning stages for further building projects. Plant some seed and watch how God grows it in your family and church.
Thank you all for your service in the work of the kingdom. I love working beside you for His glory.

God bless you all,
