Dear Shiloh Family,

At one point in my life’s journey, I owned an HVAC company.  An estimated 90% of my residential business was from word-of-mouth advertisement.  People who were pleased with a job well done were quick to recommend us to their friends and family.

People were drawn to Jesus because twelve men began to tell others about the miracles, message, and master teachings of Jesus.  Crowds flocked to the Messiah because lives were being changed, and good things were happening around our Savior.

Mark 2:1-3: 2 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. NKJV

As I reached out to parents of our VBS guests, I was blown away by the reactions of moms, dads, and grandads.  Most every call recipient was quick to give up the name of the Shiloh member who invited them.  They also confessed to how excited their children were when they came home.  Many of you invited or brought multiple guests, and many of them promised to come back to our weekly worship services.  Praise the Lord!  It is awesome to be the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in these days.

Matthew 22:8-10: 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.'  10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. NKJV

Oh yes!  I must remind you that we baptized 5 precious souls last Sunday, and one more prayed to receive Jesus in my office.  Lest you get the wrong idea into thinking that I am taking credit for all the new birth, I must boldly divulge that 5 of the six salvations occurred because one of you brought them into my office.  So, in fact, you guys are the reason our spiritual maternity ward is growing so rapidly.  Thank you from the depths of my very soul.

Luke 4:40: 40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. NKJV

BTW, Rhonda and David Jones have a new addition to their family.  Makaela and Chandler have a new baby boy.  We welcome Samuel Ben Carpenter into the world.  God is good.  

Church is like the dinner table.  Children will be content to play outside until we insist they come in and eat.
