Dear Shiloh Family,

How can the night sky say Thank you to the stars for beautifully decorating its darkest depths? And how can the oceans show gratitude to the sparkles for dancing on the crests of its waves? Oh, how grateful the storm must be to the rainbow for bringing joy after such tumult. The garden must beam with pride and thanksgiving as passers-by admire the splendor of the flower blossoms.

Likewise, words nor sentiment can begin to reveal the contents of this pastors heart last Sunday. I was overwhelmed as stars of Shiloh twinkled like ornaments, love sparkled on waves of enthusiasm, the wonderful colors of teamwork and diversity followed a storm of preparation, and most importantly, salvation bloomed from a garden cultivated with passion, prayer, fasting, and faith. Because of your tireless endeavors, at least a dozen men made decisions to follow Christ.

I dont want to leave out anyone, so I wont attempt to mention all of the teams and individuals who labored so diligently to make the day such a success. However, one of the defining moments for me was when I entered the FLC for the first time before the evening dinner. Yes, the food was incredible and plentiful. Yes, the building was filled with men from all walks of life. And yes, the atmosphere was electric with friendship. But my soul was arrested by the two rows of tables that lined both sides of the dinning area of the kitchen. It wasnt the tables nor the content, but rather the welcoming, comforting, smiling faces of the ladies of Shiloh that staffed every dish and filled the kitchen as well.

Ladies, the volumes of books in the Library of Congress dont contain enough words to express my love and appreciation for what I experienced that night. You all certainly shinned, sparkled, beamed, and blossomed. The entire day was a near perfect picture of what the body of Christ should represent.

Ephesians 4:15-16:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head Christ 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. NKJV

I am compelled to mention the generosity of our body of believers. In addition to your weekly tithes and offerings, we almost covered the entire event expenses with your gracious special offerings. Thank you for making investments in the lives and eternities of these precious souls. I pray that God will repay you fourfold.

Luke 6:38: 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." NKJV

Our Good, Good, Father is creating a masterpiece. Where in His Heavenly spectrum do you fit?

God bless you all,
Pastor Derrell
