Dear Shiloh Family,

The little guy was just standing there with his empty plate. I noticed a forlorn, frustrated, almost helpless glare on his face as he scanned the dessert laden table. As our eyes met, I inquired if I could assist. To which he replied, No thank you Pastor, there is so much here, and I dont know which one I want.

He was right! There was so much sugar on that table, one could get a cavity from the aroma. It was insomnia waiting to happen, and heart palpitations in the making. So, I did the prudent thing and instructed him to try a bit of everything. Im not sure how many exhibits he sampled, but to the household in which the young man abides...you're welcome.

The covered dishes, crockpots, and casseroles were plentiful as well. I was one of the last served, and the selection was numerous and my plate was too small. Everything was delicious! Shiloh, you exceeded all expectations. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Thanks as well to Kami and her team. We are so appreciative to all who assisted in the set-up, and what a blessing for everyone who stayed after for break-down and clean-up.

These events are becoming larger and more numerous as we grow. In the future, it would sure be a comfort to know Kami had regular, dependable volunteers. Please, sign up in advance for up-and-coming events.

Acts 2:46-47:46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. NKJV

The Lord is certainly adding to our church daily in so many ways. Folks are joining regularly, babies are being born, and people are coming to the Savior. In fact, we had at least 2 more salvations last Sunday. PTL! When you lift up the name of Jesus, men, women, and children are drawn to Him. Our Lord said that about His death on the cross, but it still holds true today. Let's continue to present Jesus in everything we do.

John 3:14-15: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. NKJV

John 12:31-33: 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself." NKJV

The more we see the perfection of Jesus on the cross, the less we notice the flaws in one another.

God bless you all,
Pastor Derrell
