Dear Shiloh Family,

It was your typical kindergarten Christmas musical, complete with little red Santas, green Grinches, Elves, and Cindy Lou pigtails. And of course, through the eyes of Poppy and Dita, our granddaughter was the cutest of all. However, it was very difficult to watch her because standing directly in front of our star, was the most enthusiastic person in the building.

To say this little lady was excited would be like saying Elvis could sing a little. During the entire performance, she posed like a movie star, danced like Michael Jackson, and had more wiggles than a bucket of night crawlers. Regardless of public opinion, she was having herself a time. Making the season bright was an understatement.

Likewise, I am excited about this Christmas season. Albeit, unlike the little lass, I don't have the moves and wiggles. If my parts move like that, something is broken or dislocated. However, my heart is dancing and my spirits soar like eagles with yuletide cheer at upcoming events around Shiloh.

We began with 77 angels and a few more that never made it to the tree. As of Thursday evening, every card had been claimed. When I think that Shiloh will have a part in providing Christmas for more than 80 children, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation.

This Sunday, after the morning service, we will fellowship to dinner on the grounds in the Family Life Center. Tables will be spread with all different varieties of holiday dishes and family recipes. The covered-dish entrees will precede a display of every dessert known to man. Everyone is invited to attend; and please, contribute by bringing enough of your favorite foods to feed your family and someone else. I can hardly wait!

Sunday, December 21st, we will worship with Pastor David Jones and the Shiloh choir. Please, bring someone with you and enjoy an incredible Christmas Musical presented by our Shiloh family of singers.

Along with the corporate worship experiences, the season will be filled with other satellite ministries and small group activities; all designed to present the joy of the gospel through a little baby born in a manger.

Luke 2:10-11 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. KJV

Let me remind you, there will be no 8:30 early service this Sunday. We will have Sunday School as normal at regular time, the 11:00 worship service, and Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner immediately following.

The joy introduced through the birth of the Son of God, will continue to spread until the return of the Savior of mankind.

God bless you all,
Pastor Derrell
